This was a fantastic golf event.The match play format which promotes the "mano vs. namo" scenario captured the world's fancy. The ebb and flow of such matches made the outcome quite unpredictable and kept the gallery and audience on edge.

GOLF SCHEDULE
All courses have wonderful reputations and are extremely picturesque, and very playable. 

Tuesday, Sept. 17 - Kingsbarns 
This seaside course opened during the 2000 British Open. It has drawn rave reviews for its beauty and terrain. (6500 yards, par 72)
Wednesday, Sept. 18 - Royal Aberdeen 
It is the sixth oldest club in the world and history presented in the clubhouse is everywhere. (6406 yards, par 71) 
Thursday, Sept. 19 - Cruden Bay 
It is nestled in sand dunes and beaches overlooking the North Sea. It is the supreme test of linksland golf. (6400 yards, par 70) 
Friday, Sept. 20 - Royal Dornoch 
This is the masterpiece. It is consistently ranked in the Top 10 worldwide. 
Saturday, September 21 -  
No golf is scheduled for this day. However, arrangement can be made at The Carnegie Club, six miles from Tain. Very exclusive, the greens fees are 150 pounds...about $225 American per player. 
Sunday, September 22 - Nairn Golf Club 
This jewel hosted the 1999 Walker Cup. The enormous greens are fast and true.
Monday, September 23 - Brora Golf Club 
An unbelievable setting. This course, designed by James Braid, has not changed since 1887. All Scottish hazards are here...gorse, beach rain, pot bunkers, mounded fairways, moguls, burns, small greens and elevations. (6200 yards, par 70)
